This is the packing list that we have so far. I'll update it before we leave and let you know what we didn't use when we get back.
Paperwork: including passports/visas, passport copies to carry around, airline reservations, frequent flyer airline cards, frequent stay hotel cards, medical insurance cards/policy, hotel reservations, tour reservations, e-mail addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, emergency info, glasses prescription, ATM/Credit cards, travel itinerary, budget, packing list.
Prescription medicines: personal AND Cipro X2 (intestinal infection), doxycycline (malaria), emergency syringes
OTC medicines: Such as sunblock, insect repellent with DEET (read instructions for use on children), Loratadine (allergies), pseudophedrine (sinus congestion), liquid pseudophedrine (kids congestion), Dramamine (motion sickness), Pepto-Bismol (upset stomach), hydrocortisone (anti-itch), Anti-fungal, Antibiotic ointment (cuts and scrapes), Tylenol (fever), Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory), Vitamins, probiotics, Mucinex (expectorant guaifenesin), calamine lotion (bug bites), miralax, saline nasal spray (dry air on flights), Benadryl (allergic reactions), vaseline (dry skin), lip balm, and aloe
Carry-on backpacks with travel guide, language dictionary, travel journals, notepads, books, toys/games, MP3 player and writing utensils.
Cash in $100 new, crisp bills (order in advance from the bank) so they’ll take ‘em and for better exchange rate than traveler’s checks, also avoid credit card fees
