27-June: Ivy has recovered!
This is just a quick update to let you know that Ivy recovered from her high fever crud. She recovered just in time for us to go to the water puppet show in Hanoi on Friday night and continue with our scheduled trip to Halong Bay over the weekend. After returning to Hanoi from Halong Bay, we immediately took a taxi to the airport to catch our Jetstar Airlines flight back to Saigon. We have a few nights here in Saigon before we depart for our flights home. I may not get Halong Bay photos posted until we get back home to Phoenix. We've been putting off shopping so that we wouldn't have to carry our treasures across the country. So, now we are in shopping mode. Tonight, we had dinner with Luan and his wife, Hien. Tomorrow, Thao (the translator that arranged our Binh Thuan province orphanage and hospital visits) is going to take Ivy and Olivia out for ice cream on her scooter. We are hoping to see a site or two along with the shopping before we leave. I can't believe our trip is coming to an end...

Laurie- Glad to hear Ivy is better. Both myself and my sister got sick in Hanoi too, but nothing like Ivy's scarey high fever. I have so enjoyed reading your blog. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe scariest photo so far as been the one of Ivy hooked up to the IV. I'm glad that she's all better and able to enjoy the rest of her vacation. Sounds like you handled it in stride!

Glad to hear Ivy is feeling better!!!! :) We've been following along and it sounds like you've had a wonderful time...except for Ivy's illness. Have a safe trip home and hugs to the girls! :)
